ASH is focused on arts education for ALL ages and abilities. Beginner and advanced artists welcome! Weather you are new to making or keep a regular practice, all are invited to create in our studio!
We offer the community classes and workshops is fine art, drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, digital arts and more! Our professional artists and educators are here to facilitate your learning. What ever it may be that you are eager to create, we can help!
Our studio space in intimate which means our class sizes are small making your learning experience more individualized. Register early to secure a spot!

About the Owner
Larissa Grass
Tyler School of Art, Temple University - BFA, Printmaking
A native of Long Island, my passion for the fine arts started at a very young age. After receiving my BFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, I entered the education field. Tyler gave me an opportunity to travel to Rome where I studied with master printmakers exploring modern and ancient printing techniques. It was there that I fell in love with the medium.
I am moved by the process of printmaking, finding a true passion for creating the matrix. Carving, scraping, burning and preparing a printing plate fuels my work. I see the plate as its own sculptural entity. The work I create is inspired by the patterns, textures and forms I notice in nature.
Since 2001 my role in the art community has centered around building community through art making. At the core of my educational philosophy is the belief that “art is for everyone”; any age, any ability, and race, gender, or economic status- we all deserve to live a creative life.

GINA MASCIA
Gina is a New York Certified Art Teacher with over two decades of classroom experience.
Gina is an expert ceramicist who teaches our hand building ceramics classes as well as many of our art camps for children. Her caring nature and creative mind help students feel seen as she guides them to bring their ideas to life.
Peter Graphic
Peter Graphic is a Long Island based cartoonist and illustrator holding a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, NYC. Peter brings a sharp sense of humor and visual story telling to his art. His work ranging from narrative cartooning to vibrant collage and encaustic has been exhibited in galleries across LI. With several years of teaching experience Peter brings a unique approach to arts education.
