Sharpen your skills and your pencils in Drawing & Sketching Camp, a focused and inspiring week dedicated to the foundations of great drawing! In this skill-building camp, young artists learn how to observe like an artist and draw what they see using simple tools: pencils, charcoal, pens, and sketching markers. Campers explore line, shape, shading, proportion, and form as they practice turning everyday subjects into confident, expressive sketches.
Throughout the week, artists work through a variety of guided exercises — from still-life studies and nature sketches to gesture drawings and imaginative compositions. They’ll learn how to create depth with shading, build structure with simple shapes, and develop their own sketching style. Whether your child already loves to draw or wants to strengthen their art foundations, Drawing & Sketching Camp is the perfect place to grow skills, gain confidence, and fill a sketchbook with artwork they’ll be proud of.

All art camps/classes at Art Studio Hamptons are taught by New York State Certified Art Teachers with years of experience in the classroom who also practice their own art professionally.
Each camp price includes all materials and supplies.
Camp enrollment is limited, early registration is recommended.
Remember, art supplies are messy! Please arrive in clothing that will look great with permanent paint splatters on it!
